A New Era for the Big Pink Bus

A New Era for the Big Pink Bus

Lone Star Circle of Care (LSCC) is excited to announce a major milestone in our commitment to women’s health. In February 2024, we anticipate welcoming a brand-new Big Pink Bus! This state-of-the-art mobile mammography unit will replace our current unit and continue to provide breast cancer screening services to our communities, with even greater efficiency and an improved patient experience.

A fixture of LSCC’s mission since 2021, the Big Pink Bus has served thousands of Central Texas women across Bastrop, Bell, Burnet, Caldwell, Hays, Travis, and Williamson counties. As we bid farewell to our current Bus, we eagerly anticipate the enhanced capabilities our new bus will bring. What will remain unchanged is our dedication to providing high quality 3-D breast imaging services, performed by our highly skilled certified Mammography Technologists. The transition to our new bus signifies not just an upgrade but a stronger approach in our ability to deliver exceptional and accessible breast cancer screening services to women in need. During this transition period, we can assist you with finding an imaging location near you. Our dedicated team is working to ensure a seamless shift from our current Bus to the new one. Thank you for your patience.

We want to express our gratitude to our stakeholders, staff, and donors whose support has enabled LSCC to perform over 4,600 screening mammograms, which are an essential tool in early detection of breast cancer. By providing this service in a mobile setting, we reduce barriers that often prevent women from getting regular mammograms. The new Big Pink Bus will allow us to further our efforts in making it easier, more accessible, and more affordable for women to get the preventive care they need. We invite you to join us in this exciting journey. Stay tuned for more updates!
