American Heart Month

February is American Heart Month!

According to statistics, approximately one in five Americans get enough exercise. Poor eating habits contribute to 45 percent of U.S. deaths in 2012 from heart disease, stroke and Type 2 diabetes.  Cardiovascular diseases remain the leading cause of death in the world, claiming nearly 18 million lives in 2015. In the United States, heart disease is the No. 1 cause of death and stroke is the No. 5.  Together we can get healthy!

The American Heart Association has a Healthy For Good program that is simple and one we can all participate in. Eat Smart. Add Color. Move More. Be Well.  Today is a great day to start your journey to improved health!
