In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Lone Star Circle of Care (LSCC) invites the Central Texas community to participate in a heartfelt tribute through its Honor Wall. This visual display is traveling with the Big Pink Bus throughout October, honoring those impacted by breast cancer.
Since its launch in 2021, the Big Pink Bus has delivered more than 8,000 mammograms and detected breast cancer in more than 60 women across Central Texas. The mobile mammography unit provides life-saving screenings to primarily underserved and uninsured women in Bastrop, Caldwell, Hays, Williamson, Travis, Bell, and Burnet counties.
The Honor Wall offers a meaningful way to recognize loved ones affected by breast cancer while supporting the mission of the Big Pink Bus. Each ribbon purchased represents a personal story and is displayed on the Big Pink Bus as it travels throughout Central Texas.
“The Big Pink Bus provides women in Central Texas access to high-quality, affordable mammograms. The Honor Wall is a meaningful way to raise awareness and celebrate the strength of those affected by breast cancer,” said Jon Calvin, CEO of Lone Star Circle of Care.
