Lone Star Circle of Care (LSCC) is pleased to announce its decision to implement athenaOne as its new integrated electronic health record, revenue cycle management, and patient engagement solution in 2024. LSCC selected athenaOne, the flagship platform from athenahealth, for its modern technology set, connected ecosystem, and tight alignment to the care continuum.
“Our selection of athenaOne will provide LSCC with a strong technological foundation that will empower our staff and partners, enhance the patient experience and clinical outcomes, and allow us to use our resources more effectively as we serve nearly 100,000 of our Texas neighbors annually,” said Jon Calvin, CEO of LSCC. “The transition to athenaOne is a critical step in developing the optimal infrastructure to advance value-based care delivery.”
LSCC is grateful to its community supporters and stakeholders for contributing nearly $1.5 million towards this important, multi-year initiative. St. David’s Foundation provided a large portion of the external support committed for the project, and Georgetown Health Foundation and Central Health were also instrumental early supporters backing the plan financially to transition to athenaOne. Their generous support will create new clinical pathways to advance patient care in 2024 and beyond.
Lone Star Circle of Care is a large outpatient clinic network of 27 locations spanning six counties in Texas that provide primary care for all ages, integrated behavioral and mental health, comprehensive obstetrics and gynecology, dentistry, optometry, pharmacy, and mobile mammography services. LSCC maintains the Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) designation and employs approximately 700 Texans. In 2023, LSCC provided over 334,000 patient visits throughout its service areas.
