Jon Calvin Named CEO of Lone Star Circle of Care

(November 30, 2020) Georgetown, TEXAS – Lone Star Circle of Care (LSCC), a federally qualified health center operating a network of health clinics for the medically underserved with 23 Texas locations, announced its Board of Directors has appointed Jon Calvin, current Chief Financial Officer, as the next Chief Executive Officer. Calvin succeeds Rhonda Mundhenk, who accepted a position outside of the organization. The two executives have worked closely to ensure a seamless transition, effective December 1, 2020.

 “I am grateful for the opportunity I had to be a part of the Lone Star family over the past nine years,” said Rhonda Mundhenk, LSCC CEO.  “Together, we built a strong organization that is ready for whatever the future may bring.  I am particularly pleased to hand the reins over to Jon, who has been integral to Lone Star’s ongoing success, and a close colleague throughout my time at the organization.  I have every confidence in his ability to lead Lone Star to new heights.”

Calvin brings extensive experience to the role, serving as LSCC CFO for seven years. He started his career in public accounting, where he provided financial statement auditing and assurance services to hospitals and health systems across the United States. He earned his Master of Science in Health Care Administration (MHA) from Trinity University and a Master of Science in Health Care Transformation (MSHCT) from the University of Texas at Austin.

In addition to his experience, Calvin maintains several professional certifications, including Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), and Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (CHFP).
