Lone Star Circle of Care (LSCC), a Federally Qualified Health Center with 27 clinics in Texas, is excited to announce the opening of its newest clinic, Lone Star Circle of Care at Harker Heights. The facility is located at the intersection of Cheetah Trail and Caribou Trail, near U.S. Highway 190.
Lone Star Circle of Care at Harker Heights replaces LSCC’s pediatric clinic on Nola Ruth Boulevard and behavioral health clinic on Indian Trial and consolidates those services into one convenient location. Primary care and behavioral health services for adults is coming soon. The project marks an important milestone in LSCC’s ability to provide high quality and affordable care for families in Bell County.
“We are proud to have served, and grown with, this community since 2010. The consolidated clinic is designed to be a welcoming space for entire families to get their care in one, convenient location,” said Lindsey Tippit, LSCC’s Chief Operations Officer. “Not only will this new clinic allow us to expand our services and make health care more accessible in Harker Heights, it will also allow us to operate more efficiently and bring our teams together to better coordinate care.”
The 10,000-square facility includes 18 exam rooms, eight behavioral health offices, and a large room for group behavioral health visits, staff gatherings, and teleconferencing meetings. Once fully operational, the clinic is expected to serve almost 7,000 patients each year.
The $6 million construction project is supported in part by a federal grant from the American Rescue Plan. The Fiscal Year 2021 Health Center Construction and Capital Improvements grant is a funding opportunity to boost construction, expansion, alteration, renovation, and other capital improvements for community health centers across the country.
