Quality and Affordable Health Care Coming to Cedar Park – Leander Area
Lone Star Circle of Care to Open Health Center at Cedar Park Medical Center
(December 4, 2019) Cedar Park, TEXAS – Lone Star Circle of Care (LSCC), a community-based Federally Qualified Health Center operating a network of 22 Texas health clinics, will open Lone Star Circle of Care at Cedar Park on Monday, December 9, 2019. This new community health center will provide high-quality, comprehensive primary and behavioral health care services to area residents. Located adjacent to Cedar Park Regional Medical Center at 1401 Medical Parkway, Building B, Suite 311, Cedar Park, Texas 78613, the center will increase access for pediatrics, obstetrics/gynecology, family medicine and integrated behavioral health care.
A 2019 Williamson County Community Health Assessment reported “behavioral health, stress and well-being,” “chronic disease risk factors,” and “access and affordability of healthcare” among the top five health priorities of Williamson County. The addition of Lone Star Circle of Care at Cedar Park addresses these priorities and amplifies LSCC’s commitment to health integration, improved health outcomes and improved quality of life in the Cedar Park – Leander area. An estimated 4,400 patients will be served annually by Lone Star Circle of Care at Cedar Park once fully operational.
LSCC Chief Executive Officer Rhonda Mundhenk said, “LSCC has developed a service delivery model where high-quality care, convenient access and affordability are available to all. Our health center is designed to provide care to the insured and uninsured, alike. We will work in tandem with community partners to be responsive to the needs of the area.”
Lone Star Circle of Care at Cedar Park will operate Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. To schedule an appointment at Lone Star Circle of Care at Cedar Park, patients may call 877-800-5722. Most insurances and public programs are accepted. For patients with no insurance, a sliding fee scale based on household income and size is available. For those who qualify, LSCC can assist with enrollment in Medicaid, CHIP, Marketplace, SNAP and other programs.
