Find Health Coverage

Find Health Coverage

At Lone Star Circle of Care, we can help you find the right insurance coverage for you and your family. Find out more.

The health insurance marketplace is for people who don’t have health coverage through their job, Medicare, Medicaid, CHIP, or another source that provides qualifying coverage. Depending on your income, you may be eligible for discounted insurance through the marketplace.

To be eligible to use the Marketplace you must live in the United States, you must be a U.S. citizen, national, or legal resident.

Lone Star Circle of Care (LSCC) can help you apply for marketplace health insurance coverage in one free, easy, secure, and convenient application process. Friendly, trained staff will guide you through the application process and help you determine what coverage options are best for you or your family.

You will need information on your household, including employer information and income that you expect your household to receive in 2017, information on any insurance coverage that you or household members currently have, an Employer Coverage Tool filled out by any employer that offers health coverage to you and/or your household members, Social Security numbers for each household member, and proof of legal immigrant status.

You may pay be required to pay a penalty fee as part of your taxes if you do not purchase health coverage and do not qualify for an exemption.

If you don’t have qualifying health coverage, in some cases you can claim a health coverage exemption (e.g., your income is too low). If you qualify for an exemption, you won’t have to pay the fee. For information about exemptions and whether you qualify, visit the HealthCare.gov site.

In the event that you do not qualify for the Marketplace, a Lone Star Circle of Care Certified Application Counselor will assist you with further application options. For example, find out if you or a family member qualify for public health programs such as Medicaid or CHIP. Have more questions? Please call our Patient Services Department at: 512-686-0534.
