Family Connects Texas Bastrop County supports families with newborns by providing a free in-home nurse visit for families who have a newborn and reside in Bastrop County. Highly trained nurses provide comprehensive health and wellness assessments for both you and your newborn in the comfort of your home. They can answer your questions and are knowledgeable about a wide range of community resources to help your family feel supported and connected.
Every family can use a little support when welcoming a newborn into their home. Family Connects builds on the care provided in the hospital by offering a nurse visit at home shortly after the baby arrives. The visit is offered at no cost to the family and provides essential support during this important transition.
The early weeks after a baby’s arrival can feel overwhelming. Newborns require constant care, the birthing parent is recovering, and partners and other family members are adjusting to new responsibilities. It’s completely normal for many questions to come up during this time.
